Father Peter Koh is Treasurer General of CICM

Father Peter Koh, first member of CICM in Singapore, was appointed as the new Treasurer General of CICM in Rome for a term of six years, effective Jul 1, 2006.

Going on 40, Father Peter is the youngest Treasurer General in the history of CICM and the first non-European. Father Peter was a missionary in Zambia for 11 years. He was ordained a priest at the Church of Christ the King, Ang Mo Kio, in 1997.

Father Anthony Lim on home leave

Father Anthony Lim returned to Singapore on May 27 for a well-deserved leave from mission in Zambia, his mission country since 1995. He is scheduled to return to his mission on Jul 23, 2006.

Anthony Lim, born in Singapore in 1964, joined CICM in 1992. He was ordained a priest in 1999 at the Church of the Holy Cross, his home parish.

CICM in Zambia is in the process of handing over to the local church some of the parishes under its care. The handover has become more urgent since two members of the CICM team were called to serve in Rome: Father Peter Koh, as Treasurer General, and Father Philip Yu as Assistant to the Superior General.

As a result, Father Anthony has had to assume the responsibility of Superior on top of his responsibilities as Formater. As Formater he mentors young men who want to discern their call to the CICM way of life.
