SINGAPORE - A ring inset with six diamonds, a gold ring, a "Good Luck" gold pin and a pair of jade earrings have been donated to the Divine Mercy Church Building Fund by a 66-year-old lady who wishes to remain anonymous. She hopes that her donation, which is actually her wedding jewellery, will raise $12,000 for the new church.

"God is my everything," says the generous lady, to explain why she is willing to give away her prized possession. Whatever I have belongs to him."

"My husband likes the idea. He says what is best, must be given to God," she continues. "What comes from me is given by God so we [can only give] joyfully and willingly," she exclaims.

The lady and her husband like to attend Mass at different churches. Learning about the new Divine Mercy parish, they decided to make a contribution - and a substantial one too.

Those interested in buying the jewellery set may contact Father Johnson Fernandez at Church of the Holy Trinity.
