Our Lord said to the priest; "Go, as My Father sent Me, I send you. All power has been given Me in Heaven and on earth. Go then, teach all nations .... He who listens to you, listens to Me; he who despises you despises Me. "
How great is a priest!
- A priest holds the place of God and is invested with all the powers of God. A priest is everything after God.
- A priest does not say, "God pardons you"; he says, "I absolve you".
- A priest does not say, "This is the Body of Our Lord;" at the Consecration, he says, "This is My Body".
- A priest gives us everything - all happiness, all graces, all heavenly gifts.
- A priest places Our Lord in the tabernacle.
- A priest receives the soul on its entrance into life.
- A priest nourishes the soul and gives it strength to make its pilgrimage.
- A priest prepares the soul by washing it in the blood of Jesus Christ, for the last time, to appear before God.
- A priest raises the soul and restore it to calmness and peace during the point of death.
- A priest touches the adorable Flesh of Jesus Christ with his fingers, plunges it into the chalice containing His Body and into the pyx where His Body has lain.
- A priest is not a priest for himself; he does not give himself absolution; nor the Sacraments to himself. He is for you.
Without a priest, what can we do in this church?
- There is no Mass.
- Our Lord is no longer at the tabernacle, we may as well pray at home.
- There is no sacrifice, there is no religion.
- There is no confession. Not even the Blessed Virgin nor an angel can absolve you
The priest will not understand the greatness of his office till he is in Heaven.
If he understood it on earth, he would die, not of fear, but of love.
If he understood it on earth, he would die, not of fear, but of love.
The priesthood is the love of the Heart of Jesus.
When vou see the priest, think of Our Lord Jesus Christ.

We also have priestly position.
In spirit we are the same.
Our priest has different function in the body of christ on earth, but spiritually, we also must have a functional / calling in priesthood.
Merry Christmas
