What the Year of St. Paul meant to me

? For communion minister Ivan Wong, the Year of St. Paul has meant the added challenge of living up to the mission of Christ on a daily basis. By putting Christ to work at work, he strives to model what it takes to be a decent human being in everyday encounters. During this special year, Ivan took the additional step to distribute Holy Communion to the sick at their homes.



? Ester Chuoong believes in making the ordinary moment extraordinary. Her inspiration for perseverance and sacrifice comes from Paul’s epistles. Despite the roadblocks she has experienced in the last 12 months, she believes that God has a plan for her and Paul’s dramatic conversion is showing her the way.

 



? To Pauline cooperator Simon Chia, St. Paul was a great apostle who inspires with his zeal. A 12-week course on Corinthians 1 and 2 gave him insights into Paul’s steadfast character through trials and difficulties. “I also prayed more, to deepen my relationship with the Lord,” said Simon, “as I reflected on how Paul was so dedicated even though he did not meet Jesus personally”.
